Like many other musicians, artists, and producers - we come from humble beginnings.

King Studios began in the early 2010’s in the bedroom of founder/recording artist/engineer/producer Justin Mitchell. But having previously started a band that toured North America multiple times, getting signed to a major label, and working with some of the industry’s top producers along the way, it was evident that starting from scratch was not at all going to impede Justin’s drive to pivot to becoming a top producer himself.

What began as a passion and a dream quickly began to flourish over time. From fitting full bands and their gear into that small bedroom, all the way to a fully functional multi-room recording studio that almost immediately makes musicians grin as soon as they walk in.

Over the years, we have continued to grow in every facet imaginable - gear-wise, space-wise, experience-wise, and personnel-wise. Although our clientele over the years has been rooted in the rock genre, we pride ourselves on being able to cater to bands and artists of any genre or variety.

But no matter what the genre (if that word is even relevant anymore) - the objective at King Studios remains the same for every artist that walks through our door - to hone in on each one’s specific desires, visions, and goals to help produce and record the best version of their ideas as possible. We want to not only bring these ideas to life, but to create a vibe and sense of individuality that is unique to each artist. Giving the utmost attention to all of the miniscule details while retaining a large, cohesive and glued-together sound.

Over the better part of the last decade, we have sharpened our skills on each part of the writing and recording process, collected the proper gear, and fine-tuned our own methodologies that have allowed us to help you create your own personal masterpieces

Having the right selection of gear is undeniably important in this day and age because, like it or not, we are in the digital era. The options are limitless and at the same time, overwhelming. However, at King Studios we simply like to blend the new with the old. We have worked hard to accumulate an arsenal of gear that is both modern - with all of the present-day features and necessities - and vintage - with all of the warm analog circuitry and vibes it has been bringing for decades.
